Pelee Island Camping Trip Review - Day 1 - Friday - Leamington

We decided to take a camping trip after my convocation as part of my celebration weekend!  Leamington is about a 3.5h drive southwest of Toronto, so we stayed overnight at Leamington (which is where the ferry docks is located to get to Pelee Island).

We picked Best Western Plus primarily due to its positive online reviews.  We got there pretty late since we left Toronto late, and also because we made a quick pit stop at a very delicious A&W for dinner, and then to Walmart in London to pick up some groceries for BBQ the following day.  The Walmart was very busy for a Friday night (I guess that's the happening place in London? That or everyone decided they needed household essentials after dinner on a Friday night hehee).

The hotel essentially is a large complex with a huge indoor activity area.  Our room was located on the second floor, with the balcony door opening up to a hallway overlooking the activity area.  We had a pretty comfortable stay, and would stay here agin.

Speaking with the front desk manager, we found out that the hotel was only recently renamed as Best Western Plus.  Prior to that, it was Pelee Island Motor Inn.  The transition was only a few months ago, so our hotel bill was still showing up at "Pelee Motor Inn"!  Pretty random fun fact.
